Petty Rant That Only A Beauty Blogger Would Do- I will never buy makeup from Kroger again
As I was typing this, I realized how petty it was, which made me change the title which was originally “I will never buy makeup from Kroger again”, but I had to think deeply about it, and well, this is something that probably only a beauty blogger would complain about.
This is actually a two part rant so here we go..
First of all, I don’t know what in the heck is wrong with the Kroger by my house (and I mean right around the corner), but when they made their store bigger, they made the makeup section smaller. There was L’Oreal, Covergirl, Milani, Maybelline, and Revlon, now.. there’s only Milani, Sally Hansen, and Kroger brand beauty tools like nail clippers and crap. Now that’s great (The Milani and Sally) if you don’t have much from this brand, but it’s depressing as hell to walk into a Kroger and mentally say “I have every product here, I have not touched them, so I cant buy doubles” I used to make it a habit to stalk the makeup section for new products and now, nothing. What am I going to do? NOW I CANT LIE TO MY HUSBAND AND SAY I’M GOING TO GO BUY TOOTHPASTE (or some other household item that I bought in bulk with my coupons that I didn’t really need) SO I CAN GO LOOK AT MAKEUP. Dude…
So, now that they got rid of everything, they had all the eliminated makeup on clearance. They didn’t mark it down enough for me the first time, but the second time? SWAG! Problem was, I missed it. Because I have the luck of someone that looked into a broken mirror covered in two dollar bills, I was surprised and amused to find a beautiful Queen by Covergirl lipstick…. $1.40… in the candy area at the checkout isle. I buy it, and I go home.
Now mind you, this was actually my first time buying makeup from Kroger since they made a few changes. I have bought clearance items before (remember the tweet at 5 am about the Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows?) and the sticker was a breeze to remove. But this mess?
And this other sticker that wont even come off?
Beauty.Blogger.Nightmare. I cant even show you the pretty packaging that you have seen 1,000,000 times before! I am sad
Please Kroger, stop the madness.
