I love a good beauty book! If you, are waiting on the release of this book, look no further than right here for a sneak peak at The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art
This 95 page, hardcover book contains 25 different nail art projects that you can do yourself, right in your own home. The looks range from young, modern, trendy, wild, and creative. Keep reading for pictures and my thoughts of the book
Sharmadean Reid, stylist, created the Wah concept back in 2006 as a Fanzine community. After receiving a bad experience at a hood nail salon in 2008, Reid decided that it was best that she just start her own nail salon, and named it WAH Nails, thus creating a physical home for the online community that she created. WAH Nails opened in July 2009.
This book is all about sharing her passion, style and technique.
The book features tips on the tools you need to design nails, and prep procedures to perfect the look, and thorough step by step tutorials on how to get the look. This book takes it a step further from what you normally see on blogs, because they tend to show you ‘look what I did’, rather than ‘look what I did and here’s how you can recreate it’.
Some of the featured nail designs include:
90’s Hip Hop
And so many other designs. I really enjoyed the book and when I have time I am going to use it and at least try to recreate one design from the book. Wah Nails Book Of Nail Art is a very fun and quirky book featuring beautiful everyday women of all shades showcasing beautiful nail art.
This book will not be available for purchase until July 10, 2012 but you can pre-order. And might I say this book is pretty darn affordable? Bang for your buck!
