Product-Treatment oil- Fig and Sweet Orange
Price- $20 for 1oz bottle; $65 for 4oz Chazdean.com
Packaging- Dark brown glass bottle with eyedropper
Pros- Beautiful fragrance, easy to use, versatile, nourishing, excellent skin absorption, efficient deep conditioning oil.
Cons- Not for use on oily hair unless you are using as a treatment,
My thoughts- Fig and Sweet Orange treatment are a really great multipurpose oil that can be used on the hair, skin and nails. This ingredients feature the lovely Argan oil, a fatty oil rich in omega-9 and omega-6 acids that nourishes and moisturizes skin and hair. It also features Abyssinian oil, which is great oil for conditioning and hydration.
The fragrance is a perfect scent with a little hint of fig, and a little hint of sweet orange. One is no more overpowering than the other, which makes for a perfect combination. The fragrance on my skin lasted up to three hours, and in the hair it was there for about 6 hours. If you are applying before bed, no need to wear a perfume or body spray, this is all that you will need. I am really interested in that Lavender scent! Imagine that one before bed. De-stress heaven!
When I used the oil on my skin, it was very light. There was no heavy greasy film and it actually absorbs into the skin. You are left with glowing skin, not greasy, which is something that I have seen too many times before when it came to multipurpose oils. This is best used in the bath, with about two full eyedroppers of oil right in the bathtub. You can also use it after you shower or bathe by putting a few drops on the skin BEFORE you dry off. This will lock in moisture throughout the day. I felt no need to reapply the oil when I used it fresh out of the tub or shower.
When I used it on my hair, I loved the sheen that it produced, no buildup, just soft fragrant hair.
I have used it as both a daily moisturizer and as a deep treatment. For people with fine or oily hair, I would not suggest using as a moisturizer. For all other hair types, the oil is not heavy and will not weigh down the hair. I used it as a hot oil treatment. I put the oil in a small vial and heated it in a cup of hot water (you know, the same way you would use a traditional hot oil treatment like V05), and I applied to my hair and left it on for about 3 minutes and washed and conditioned as usual. My hair was very soft and manageable. Not to mention fragrant!
I have not had my oil very long, maybe like two weeks now and I have not created a significant dent in it, and I use it daily. So 20 bucks for one ounce is going to last you, and it’s more affordable short term than the 4 ounce bottle for $65. But if you try the one ounce, and you love it, I would suggest saving some money by buying the four once bottle unless you are trying to discover another scent. You are saving $15 by grabbing the four ounce bottle.
Remember, by buying this one bottle, you are eliminating the need for bath oil, skin oil, hair oil, and hot oil/oil treatments.
