Milani Bella Blue Saturated Smooth Lipstick Swatches And Review

Milani Bella Blue

Milani Cosmetics released a limited edition line of cosmetics celebrating the shade blue. The collection includes three mascaras, one nail lacquer and one lipstick. Check out what Milani has to say about Bella Blue:

“B” is for bella…and bold. The most daring piece of our Bella Blue collection, this full coverage, one-stroke lip color is atonce fashion forward and totally girly, in a powdery sky-blue kind of way. Wear it with the other tone-on-tone players in the Bella Blue lineup, or as an unexpected pop of color against a backdrop of neutral cheeks and eyes. It’s limited edition, so snap it right up.

Bella Blue Packaging

Bella Blue (0.11oz) is not packaged like the regular line of Color Statement Lipsticks. It’s in a completely see through, clear, acrylic tube with Milani going down the cap in gold letters.

Bella Blue is a medium toned powder blue with a silver metallic flash. The texture of Bella Blue is very creamy, the finish is metallic. Application is not stellar, but works best if you apply starting from the outside and work your way in. This shade is not the best in the buildable department, very easy to streak and applies very splotchy. Pigmentation is ‘ok’.

Bella Blue has that classic weird lipstick smell and no taste.

Bella Blue lasts about 4 hours if you don’t rub your lips together. If you do, party’s over.

Overall I’m not in love. I am still on the hunt for a velvety blue lipstick with a matte finish. If you are into metallics, this is your lipstick. There’s something very spacey and galactic about Bella Blue…..

I’m not in love with it, like you said I’d prefer a matte finish blue rather than metallic. It’s really nice to see drugstore brands doing more out there shades though!

Hmm I’m not a fan. I can’t see myself nor anyone else wearing this… unless for dress up.

I’m not the biggest fan, I would prefer a glossy or matte finish. Metallic throws this beautiful shade off. http://tobeautyandbeyond101.blogspot.com/
