The biggest complain that I hear from women of ethnicity (and some very pale people) is that they cannot find a foundation right for their skin tone. I am giving you my three recommendations for brands with the best foundation color range.
1. Revlon Colorstay Makeup with Softflex for Combination/Oily skin: I am placing this one first because on the price scale it will be the cheapest (under $12.99) and readily available in any drugstore, grocery store, and superstores. With well over 15 shades to choose from, Revlon will be your most affordable choice.
2. MAC Cosmetics: Honestly they are next in price range, being a little more expensive ($21-$32). MAC’s availability ranges from state to state, some with numerous counters and freestanding stores and others (like Mississippi) with only 2 counters. But you can purchase it online. I read on a regular basis the complaints of breakouts, that is the downside to some of the formulas (especially Studiofix). If you can make it work, MAC’s Studio fix fluid comes in 23 shades.
3. Bobbi Brown: Bobbi Brown’s foundations are going to be alot more expensive ($22-$50) but this line treats your skin good, minimal breakouts and 19 shades of foundation to choose from. Again if you live in the right state, availability will be right, but you can always buy it online.
Out of all these, MAC cosmetics wins on selection of shades, just beware of their ability to break out the skin in some formulas.
