Maybelline Color Goes Electric Spring 2013- Orange Edge Lipstick Swatches Review

Maybelline released their LE Spring 2013 collection better known as the Color Goes Electric Collection. This collection is inspired by Spring Fashion Week. Beauty brands decided this would be the year that we would skip neons during the summer, and wear them in the spring! I’m not complaining! The collection featured eyeliners, eyeshadows, nail lacquers, and lipsticks. Nothing really excited me like the lipsticks, so I picked up the two that I loved the most. Orange Edge is one of them.

Orange Edge is not really all that orange. It strikes me as a red with coral tones, but it is very bright and vivid. It is a creamy formula, but has a super shiny finish.

Application was simple; but because it is so shiny, you have to apply twice at the least. It has the smell of lipstick and butter mixed together and it has no taste (don’t ask). It starts to fade after about three hours if worn alone with no liner or primer, but if you line and fill in the lips, you can get about 8 hours out of this lipstick (granted you don’t eat, drink, or rub your lips together constantly like I do).

Maybelline Orange Edge retails for $5.49. I picked mine up from Walgreens, but you can try Target, Walmart, CVS, and Harmon!
