NARS announced earlier this year that they would be releasing a line of tinted moisturizers that just about tiptoe on the line of a BB Cream. With promises to brighten the skin, protect from the sun with SPF 30, and PA+++, and anti-aging properties. With a price tag of $42, is it worth the buy?
In short, the answer to that question is yes. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and I see improvement in my skin, not drastic but the tone has been evened out. Keeping in mind that I have not used Ambi for well over 3 months, my skin tone is uneven and my skin is dry because I am in desperate need for a good exfoliation, but we will talk about that later.
Application was very nice. There was enough time to apply, blend and smooth out with the fear of it drying out, which is a problem that I have had in the past with other tinted moisturizers.
I was afraid that because this tinted moisturizer is so yellow based it would be hard to blend in with my skin, but in fact blending was effortless and the match was actually pretty good. I wore a primer underneath and got 12 hours of wear out of this tinted moisturizer. No need to reapply!
I used a skunk brush to apply.
In my opinion, it is worth it despite the hefty price tag. The finish is wonderful and glowing. My face felt moist and supple, minor imperfections were covered, and I hope that I can report in the future that my skin tone has evened out substantially.
