I hope you’ve survived this insane winter so far. Hopefully it’ll be over for good (and good riddance) in a couple of weeks. Don’t you fret though…spring collections are here to help you forget the bitter cold!
Today I’ve got the Nicole by OPI Roughles collection.
…yes, I heard you groan, “not ANOTHER texture polish collection!” I was a bit apprehensive about this collection, especially with my personal dislike of less dimensional textured polishes. However, all of the Roughles have a speckled egg collection, just in time for Easter!
I’m Stucco On You
I found this lavender with purple specks to be surprisingly elegant.
Rock The Look
This reminds me of a strawberry milkshake, complete with the particles of real strawberries. Just don’t try to eat your nails while wearing it!
On What Grounds
This is my favorite of the collection: it’s the perfect robin’s egg blue ever, complete with speckles. If you like Tiffany blues, you NEED this.
Sand In My Shoe
Have you ever seen a canna flower? Sand In My Shoe captures the essence of the yellow flower with the complementary orange flecks. This is probably the best applying yellow I’ve ever had, probably because it is not a traditional yellow polish.
They all only require two coats and dry fairly quickly. Unlike glittery versions of textured polishes, these polishes do not gain extra oomph from a top coat. I would love a traditional polish with similar flecks, so I attempted to smooth the finish with 2 coats of Gelous and a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward.
The Purple Top Coat Eater
Pretty, isn’t it?
Nicole by OPI can be found at many retailers across the US for $7.99 If you need something to get you out of these winter doldrums, pick one up soon!
