Ready, Set, Go! Top 5 Fast Dry Polishes

This post is for @ChocLaTayy on Twitter.com.  She asked me to point her to the best fast drying nail polish, because she was having bad experiences with them.  And there are so many out there on the market, and they all claim to do different things so here’s my top 5:

5. Rimmel 60 Second Nail polish ($3.00; drugstores) – The only thing this polish does in dry in 60 seconds and that is not enough.  It is very hard to take off, it chips, it fades within days! The more coats you use, the less shine you will have in the polish. But one coat dries in one minute, two minutes max.

4. Avon Speed Dry ($4.00); Avon.com- This one was almost the worst overall, I only put this one at #4 because if not for the good pigmentation in one coat, it would have been the worst. I didn’t care for the brush, and this polish does not dry in 60 seconds, it takes up to 5 minutes to dry. Yes, five minutes.

3.Maybelline Express Finish ($4.00); Drugstores- This is an overall good polish! Chip and fade resistant, easy to apply, good pigmentation in one coat. Pretty Good! The only hangup I had was it does not give the 50 second guarantee. It again takes about 3 minutes for this polish to fully dry.

2.NYC in a New York Color ($1.99); drugstores- Chip resistance, high shine in one coat, the most affordable, but again, it does not dry quite at one minute, but it is the closest.

1.  Sally Hansen Insta-Dry ($3.99); Drugstores- Perfect stroke brush, high shine, one coat is all you need, dries in one minute, formula is chip resistant, color lasts up to 4 days (for me remember, I am a stay at home mom). It is flawless overall and this is the bottle that I suggest you try first before any of the others. With NYC coming in at a close second!
