OPI partnered with Serena Williams to launch the Grand Slam Collection. This collection is in conjunction with the Australian Open, US Open, Wimbledon, and French Open. There will be two polishes with the start of each tournament.

First up, the Australian Open and Simply Smashing.

Simply Smashing is a chartreuse colored polish. This color is very reminiscent of a tennis ball, it is a great yellow-green shade that needs to be in your collection. I love the sparkles! I used two coats and it dries quickly.

Add black shatter in the mix and you get:

I will not lie about how much I love Black Shatter. There are some things that you must understand however.  First of all, you must apply to dry nails.  So consider using a good opaque lacquer that does not require a bunch of coats. Second, it is matte finish.  The swatch I did (above) I did not use a topcoat.  It still looks good, a topcoat will make it look good as well.

I say Simply Smashing is hit or miss, if you own plenty of foiled yellow green polishes, then no you don’t need it. If you are a tennis fan, or a fan of Serena Williams, you need.

Black Shatter everyone needs. There is not a polish on the market that compares to the awesomeness that is Black Shatter.
