Because we all like to kill two birds with one stone… Benefit’s stay don’t stray does everything your former favorite eye primer does and a little more. Not only does this primer keep your eyeshadow on all day, it also keeps your concealer in place all day. How cool is that?
Check out my thoughts on the primer after the jump and details on the new pop up shop!
Packaging- Great! I love the pump. Even though most primers have changed their packaging to get rid of the dreaded wand, I get just the amount of product that I need. The wand on Urban Decay Primer Potion always gave me uneven application. And I cannot attest to the new squeeze tube because I have not used it.
Texture- Easy to apply, very smooth. You do get enough time to pump it, apply it, and distribute it before it sets so that’s a good thing.
Clearly you can tell that a little goes a long way! I used too much on my hand. And I wanna say that after I did this I went and cooked dinner and washed dishes and figure it would come off my hand while washing dishes….well. It didn’t.
How to apply-
This is a 360 primer so not only do you apply to the lid, you also apply under the eye to prime the area for your concealer. You need about 4-5 small dots all around the eye, rub it in, let it set, which takes about 2-5 minutes for me, and then apply your eyeshadow or primer.
I did this bare faced, however you would normally do this after you apply your foundation, or at least that’s how I do it.
This product is a win for me, because it does one more thing that UDPP does not do. I can prime for my shadow and my concealer, pump packaging and application of shadows is just as simple. But does it stand up to UDPP on how long it lasts? Stay tuned for part 2!
