About 2-3 weeks ago, I was sent a full set of Royal Curl from Queen Helene. I gave you my initial thoughts when I got it in the mail and now here is the rest of my review.

Stay Clean Shampoo $8.99-The shampoo, simply put-not memorable.  It gets the hair clean, yes. It does not leave the hair dry and severely tangled, it gets it clean and that’s about it. It is notable that this shampoo is sulfate, paraben, and petroleum free. The smell is great, very light, no heavy fragrance. Smells like oranges and green tea.

I asked on Facebook a few weeks ago if there is one product that you are curious about from Rimmel London. After many comments, which included foundation, to nail files to lipsticks, majority of you guys that are friends with me on Facebook asked about the quads.

Backstory about their company: I have always been apprehensive about using their products because I feel like if a company does not make a wide range of foundation shades, then I am being told there’s nothing you make for me. I hope that maybe in the future, they will decide to make darker shades because I have heard good things about their foundation.

Now back to the quads. People wondered about their pigmentation, shade selection, staying power so you wanna know! Here it is!

It seems like everyday a new company is coming up with a new skincare product. But are you noticing something? Yes, they are not putting face moisturizers in cream form very much. They are skipping all the chemicals and bottling in straight oil form.

Take Olie Biologique, who outright states that oil is the new face cream, the aromatic alternative to moisturizers because it saturates the skin, replenishes lost moisture to plump cheeks, promotes circulation, and creates a barrier that locks hydration in and dryness out.

I tested two oils: Evening Primrose and Sweet Almond oil.

This has been out and about in stores for about 4 months now, maybe even longer.  The thing is with me and foundation, I found my HG, so nothing really interests me at this very moment, but since BzzAgent sent it out, I figured hey why not!

What is it? Natureluxe silk foundation is a lightweight foundation that contains botanical ingredients to leave the skin with a flawless finish, without leaving the face feeling heavy or weighed down.

Packaging- It’s….small. This would be ok any other day of the week except for the fact that this foundation is 12.99.  Yes, $12.99 for 1 ounce of foundation? No way dude. This foundation better be a miracle.  The bottle itself and the design is cute nevertheless, it has a very earthy feel to it.

UPDATE REVIEW HERE

I remember Queen Helene from back in the day. When I was little my mom swore by the cholesterol conditioner. I continued using it until my teens, and the brand sorta disappeared.

Then there was the Mint Julep mask that every beauty lover swears by, but hey that’s not for hair!

But she’s back and ready to assist natural hair gals with better curls, moisturized hair, and super shiny tresses!! The line includes a shampoo, conditioner, curl shaping creme, and smoothing oil.

I can tell you guys that everything smells great! I am excited to give this line a shot and report back to you guys!

See you in two weeks!

What is it? A four product line of skincare products specifically designed for people with red, dry, tight skin

What is it supposed to do? Calm the sensitive, stressed skin by relieving redness with ingredients like magnolia bark and date-seed extracts, Vitamins C and E, and soybean.

Super Soothing Moisturizer for redness and sensitivity 2oz; $38.00- Natural extracts minimize redness, replenishes skin’s moisture levels and maintains a healthy skin barrier, calms and soothes irritation. This product is best used after cleansing the skin.

Super Soothing Serum 0.9oz; $38.00- Natural extracts to help soothe irritation and minimize redness, antioxidant enriched to protect the skin against an environmental attack, minimizes dryness.

Super Soothing Instant Relief Mask 4oz; $40.00- Instantly helps relieve visible redness, immediate skin cooling, soothing, and calming benefits, instantly refreshes skin.

Protective Color Corrector 2oz; $30.00- Camouflages redness, uneven skin texture and fine lines. Provides chemical free broad-spectrum sun protection. Lightweight mousse texture leaves a smooth satin finish.

My thoughts-I am no medical professional but I think this would be great for anyone suffering from eczema, acne rosacea, and other things that would case the skin to be red and irritated. I do not think that you need all the products, I suggest the moisturizer and the serum.

The entire collection to launch exclusively at Ulta and philosophy.com in March, and then branch out to other retailers like Sephora in April. Items will retail from $30 for the protective color corrector with SPF 20 to $40 for the instant-relief mask.

Visit Philosophy.com for more information.  I will do a more in-depth review of the color corrector and serum at a later date.

The re-useable shopping tote is one of the best products on the market. I use them all the time to carry around my personal items, and when I need an item or two from the grocery store.  The problem with most re-useable bags is, they tear up so fast. I have been going somewhere on more than one occasion and the bottom fell out and all my goodies are on the floor! Now, they are all over the floor, my bag is broken..how will I get this stuff home safely? Yes, with a plastic grocery bag therefore defeating the purpose of buying a re-useable tote that cannot withstand the weight of my goodies….and using a plastic bag…that can.
