TRESemmé® Split End Review And Photos
I was always told that there was not a single product on the market that could repair split ends. I’ve done my research, and every stylist and every place I’ve looked on the internet all said the same thing- If you have split ends, cut them off, it’s the only way to remedy them. Then I tried the TRESemmé® Split End Repair.
The TRESemmé® Split End Repair line contains 5 products that claims to repair 80% of all split ends after three uses and repairs further damage after long term use. So did it work? Check out my review!
The five products included to review were:
- Shampoo, 25oz
- Conditioner, 25oz
- Leave in conditioner, 10oz
- Split end treatment, 6oz
- Serum, 3.3oz
The shampoo I really loved. It cleansed my hair leaving a light fresh salon scent. When it comes to shampoo, I never really go on and on about them, because the goal is all the same- clean the hair. I didn’t feel residue after washing and I used this shampoo on a bad hair day and it got rid of all the build-up.
The conditioner moisturized my hair leaving it soft and feathery once I dried it. The conditioner did not feel heavy on my hair and rinsed away easily.
The leave in conditioner prepares the hair for easier styling while reducing further damage. It was thicker than the leave in conditioner that I normally use, more product less water basically, and you could tell. Very simple to use, just spray and comb the hair with a wide tooth comb.
The treatment is like a oil moisturizer but not. It’s a tad heavy on the hair, it worked great for last minute ponytails and touch-up, eliminating frizz.
The serum, like others contain silicone but it does not have that same thick feel. It’s actually more creamy than it is greasy. Trust me I have no problem with that, however less grease means less shine. It does not leave the hair as shiny as my regular serum. It’s easy to wash out and leaves no buildup.
I used these products on not only myself, but my daughters. I have relaxed hair, they have natural hair. I also have split ends, they don’t. I did notice some of my split ends went away. These products contain PEC- which is a chemical known to bond split ends, but only temporarily. So make sure when you use TRESemmé® Split End Repair, you use all the products to maximize the bond of PEC. This will mend your split ends and prevent further breakage.
NEW Split Remedy, from TRESemmé, repairs up to 80% of split ends in just three uses. And with continued use, repairs further damage as it occurs.
